Where can I buy tickets for the Jewish Summer Festival?


You can buy tickets on www.jewishfestival.hu and www.jegy.hu webpages, in the Jewinform Pavilon in front of the Dohány Street Synagogue (1074 Budapest, Dohány u. 2.) and in the Interticket ticket offices.

When is the Festival Ticket Office open?


The opening hours of the Jewinform Pavilon:

Sun-Thur: 10:00 – 17:30
Fri: 10:00 – 16:00
Sat: Closed

Can I buy tickets online?


Yes, on the www.jewishfestival.hu and www.jegy.hu webpages.

Are the tickets valid for a specific seat?


In the Rumbach Street Synagogue, Goldmark Hall and the Frankel Street Synagogue the tickets are not valid for a specific seat, you can choose your seat in the order of arrival.

In the Dohány Street Synagogue the tickets are valid for a given sector (Ground Floor Middle, Ground Floor Sides, Upper Floors). Within the sectors you can choose your seat in the order of arrival.

The tickets in the Urania Movie Theatre are valid for a specific seat.

Can I get a refund for my tickets?


No, the tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Is it possible to pay by credit card or Euro in the Festival Ticket Office?


No, we only accept cash or Accor Kultúrautalvány.

Questions regarding the Dohány Synagogue:


Can I leave the synagogue during the intermission?


No, you cannot go outside the territory of the Dohány Synagogue. However, outside the building you can find a buffett, bathroom and you can visit the Memorial Tree as well.

When are the gates opened?


The gates are opened an hour before the beginning of the programmes.
The security check is compulsory for everyone.

Is the synagogue wheelchair accessible?


Yes, the ground floor can be entered by wheelchair as well.

Is there a bathroom?


Yes, there is.

Is there a buffet?

Yes, next to the main entrance you can buy drinks and sandwiches during the concerts.
Food and drink cannot be taken into the synagogue.

What is the dress code for the synagogue?


Men’s heads have to be covered. Ladies cannot enter with you shoulders uncovered.

Do I have to bring my own hat (kipa)?


If you do not have a hat, you can hire a hat (kipa) at the entrance for 500 Ft. You get the sum back if you return the hat (kipa) after the concert.
